Privacy

• Searches. The words you search for, filters and sort you apply, how many results came back, and when. If you are signed in, the search is linked to your account so we can answer you if you tell us you could not find something.
• Your basket and orders, in order to sell you things and to deliver them.
• A sign-in session, where you have one, so the site knows who you are between visits.

We do not record your name, address, payment details or basket contents as part of search analytics. Payment details are taken by our payment provider and never reach this storefront.

To see what customers are looking for and what we are failing to stock — the searches that return nothing are the ones worth acting on — and to answer a customer who tells us they could not find something. Where the record answers a support question about an order, we rely on the contract between us; otherwise on our legitimate interest in running the shop.

• Search records: 13 months, then deleted automatically.
• Visit references are stored only as salted hashes and are deleted with the record they belong to.

• Access. We can produce the records we hold against your account.
• Erasure. We can delete them, and tell you how many were removed.
• Objection. Analytics can be declined, and the search box works exactly as it did — we simply do not link a search to a visit.
